You came along when I needed you most
You held my hand,
You held me close
You showed me that tomorrow the sun will shine
And that life isn't bad all the time.
You gave me a hug when I needed it most
Whether it be virtual or real.
Somehow, you always seem to know
Just how I feel.
You gave me a shoulder to lean on
When I felt too weak to stand alone
You helped me see that I am strong,
And I'm never on my own.
For all that you do for me,
I am so very grateful.
And each night I find the brightest star
And thank God for giving me a friend
with such a caring heart.
